Turanga

Turanga is a four-players variant of Shuuro.

The principles and rules are exactly the same as Shuuro, but the board is different. It is shaped like a cross, and each of the cross’s arms allows one of the four players to deploy his army, while the centre of the cross is a normal Shuuro board. Each of the cross’s arms contains two random plinths, of course!

The players sitting opposite each other form a team and take on simultaneously the other two. The players agree a strategy before the game, but cannot communicate during the game, so they need to be able to stick to the plan and coordinate their tactical efforts during the game. This, particularly under the pressure exerted by the opposition, is not an easy task!
